Tuesday 11 August - In-Service Day 2
Wednesday 12 August - S1 & S2

Friday 14 August - S3 & S4
All pupils (who are able) will then recommence full-time education from Monday 17 August 2020.
The first week of the new term will have a phased return to school for all Perth and Kinross pupils. This will enable focused time for induction for new pupils and reorientation back into the school building for current pupils.
Important changes to school operations
Please visit the below sites to find out information regarding school transport and face coverings.
Personal Hygiene and Enhance Cleaning
Pupils and staff will follow an enhanced cleaning programme thought the day. This will include wiping down desks, chairs and equipment prior to and following use and sanitise/wash hands when entering a learning space. Pupils and staff will also have to sanitise their hands on arrival and when leaving the school.
There are yellow cleaning boxes in every learning space (pictured below). Spaces with sinks will have soap to wash your hands and those spaces without will have sanitiser. These boxes will have everything needed for each space.
Movement around the school
The school has introduced a one-way system. The full details of this and maps can be found in the re-opening document above. This will help the school management the flow of people. The one-way system uses the outdoor space and pupils should come to school dressed appropriately for all weathers. We will also be removing the school bell as a means of accurately reflecting more natural transition and instead atomic clocks (so everywhere displays the same time) have been installed. The period times have also been altered:
Pupils should enter the building via Bute Drive or Gowans Terrace. Entry at the beginning of the school day will be from 8.40am.
Please note that it is not possible to enter the building earlier than this time. Entry will be controlled by staff present at the doors.
Pupils must go straight to their period 1 classroom.
No cash payments will be accepted under any circumstances from Monday 10 August. All payments made to the school (including lunches) must be made via ParentPay. Parents/Carers have been sent activation letters. If you require support to activate your account please contact the Business Support Team on 01738 472800.
In light of the circumstances that we find ourselves in, very high standards of behaviour will be required from our pupils. The school's relationships policy should be followed.
Frequently Asked Questions
My child does not have a YoungScot card, how do they pay for lunch?
Young people in S1 who do not have a YoungScot card will be issued with a temporary card. All other pupils will be issued with a code.
What can my child bring to school?
Pupils should limit what they bring to school. They can bring their own stationary and digital devices. We would recommend keeping all of these clean throughout the day and the cleaning stations will have wipes to do this. On the days pupils have PE they should bring their PE kit.
My child gets the school bus. How do I know what the transport arrangements are?
The Perth & Kinross Council Public Transport Unit has written to all parents/carers with children that are entitled to school transport.
My child is worried about returning to school. Who should they talk to?
Should your child require any support they should speak to their Principal Teacher Pupil Support (Guidance) or Tutor Time teacher. Perth & Kinross Council have also created a supporting wellbeing on the return to school guide.
