The Perth Grammar School Offer - Updated 03/04/2020
We are determined to keep up progress in learning with all of our young people. To this end we have been working with all our staff to prepare our remote learning offer for next term. Our current plan is to change the timetable formally on 4 May as per the school calendar. However, feedback from both staff and pupils is that they would like to move on with their learning after the Easter break – especially those who have made choices for next session. We are therefore putting in place a way for pupils to start new coursework at the next level for the courses that they have chosen. We aim to fully transition classes by the end of the first week back. As is always the case, we cannot guarantee places on courses or that every course will run. Principal Teachers have been provided with lists of pupils from S2-5 who have chosen their subject and will be in touch with them through Teams to issue planned work for S3-6 and offer support and feedback. We will also be offering further learning opportunities for our outgoing Senior Phase pupils to support them with well-being, personal finance, employability and next steps. Further updates on this will be posted on the Learning at Home section of the school website.
Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)
Given the current situation with COVID 19 those young people who are in receipt of EMA and who are unable to meet their agreed attendance requirements either through self-isolating, contracting the virus or through the learning institution being closed will continue to receive their EMA payment. All queries should be emailed to our generic address EMA@pkc.gov.uk
