Our Home Study booklets for parents are available below.  These provide information on how we can work together to support all our young people with home study as well as details of the home study expectations of each department in the Broad General Education (BGE – S1-S3) and the Senior Phase (S4-S6).  You will find helpful links below and these are also contained in the booklets

Additional home study resources

There are many excellent resources available to support home study both in print and online.  Some of these are listed below and these can also be accessed by pupils from the school website:  www.perthgrammar.org.uk/pupils/supported-study.  Subject departments have a wide range of study resources and particular websites that they will recommend to pupils.

Broad General Education S1 – S3 

1. Parentzone is the official government website which aims to develop partnerships between parents and schools in Scotland.This link gives information about Supporting Learning at Home as well as Resources for Parents and the latest news on developments within Scottish Education: http://www.educationscotland.gov.uk/parentzone/learningathome/index.asp

2. BBC Bitesize has a well-established reputation for high quality revision and study materials.  Most of these concentrate on exam preparation but new sections on Third and Fourth Level resources are being developed for all curriculum areas.

Senior Phase S4-S6
